Frequently Asked Questions

What certifications are required for commercial buildings in Malaysia?

Commercial buildings in Malaysia require CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) certification and local municipal approval (MBPJ/DBKL). ZhongSai holds CIDB certification and provides material certificates compliant with BS EN 10025 standards and factory inspection reports to assist clients with the local approval process.

How is the large-span atrium designed?

This project's atrium uses a pipe truss structure with a 24-meter span, made of Q355B seamless steel pipes with intersecting line welded joints. The truss camber is designed at L/500, considering dead load + live load + wind load combinations. The atrium roof uses tempered laminated glass + aluminum-magnesium-manganese panels, with electric smoke exhaust skylights to meet fire safety requirements.

How is corrosion protection designed for tropical rainforest climate?

Malaysia has a tropical rainforest climate with high temperature and humidity. Steel surfaces are sandblasted to Sa2.5 grade, with a three-coat anti-corrosion system: zinc-rich epoxy primer (80μm) + micaceous iron oxide epoxy intermediate (100μm) + polyurethane topcoat (60μm), salt spray resistance ≥1000 hours. Anti-corrosion wax is applied to concealed areas, and bolts are hot-dip galvanized.

How long does customs clearance take at Port Klang?

Sea freight from Shenzhen to Port Klang takes approximately 7-10 days, and customs clearance after arrival typically takes 3-5 days. Malaysia has efficient customs clearance. We recommend clients prepare import permits and SIRIM certification (if required) in advance. ZhongSai provides complete packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin (FORM E for tariff preferences), and material certificates.
