Frequently Asked Questions

What was the biggest challenge for this project?

The 30-ton crane required very precise column alignment and runway beam installation. We provided detailed erection sequences, tolerance specifications (±3mm for column plumb), and pre-assembled crane runway beam sections to minimize on-site adjustment.

How was the coastal corrosion handled?

Lima has high humidity (85%+) despite low rainfall. We specified hot-dip galvanized secondary members, epoxy zinc-rich primer (120 microns) + polyurethane topcoat (60 microns) for primary members, and stainless steel fasteners for all exterior connections.

Did Peru require any special certifications?

Peru uses the Technical Standards for Construction (Normas Técnicas de Edificación). The E.060 standard for steel structures is largely based on AISC 360. We provided complete calculation packages in both English and Spanish, and the local engineer reviewed and stamped them for municipal approval.

How long was the shipping via Panama Canal?

The transit from Shenzhen to Callao via Panama Canal took 35-42 days. We advised the client to book shipping 2 weeks in advance to secure space, as Panama Canal transit slots can be limited during peak season.
